About Me
Thank you for reading my profile. I believe counselling is a great way of exploring situations in your life which have caused emotional discomfort or traumatic experiences that can sometimes lead to you struggling to find focus with everyday situations and life.
As a counsellor, I have found that exploring these issues can help you to understand the situations better and realise how those issues have impacted your life. My goal is to help you overcome some of these mental health problems so that you can manage or even flourish in life.

I have been described as approachable and very easy to get on with. I am very empathetic and I believe that you will find me to be relaxing, warm and non-judgemental. I have gained a vast knowledge of different mental health issues which has helped me improve my counselling skills and be better equipped to help you.

In our sessions I will listen to you and offer a safe place for you to talk. We will work together to help you through whatever you are experiencing. I will value and encourage you to be autonomous. I believe that we can work together to empower you to find your own path and direction. I won’t have all the answers, nor will I pretend that I do. But I will work with you to help you achieve valuable understanding and clarity of your dilemma or situation.

What is Person-Centred Counselling
Person-Centred Counselling is based on the view that everyone has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change, given the right conditions. Rather than the therapist being seen as the expert and directing the therapy, the counsellor offers unconditional positive regard, empathy and congruence to help the client develop and grow in their own way.
My aim as a Person-Centred Therapist is to give you the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions while being in a safe and confidential environment. It gives you the opportunity to express any concerning matters or problems you are experiencing, with a view to achieving clarity of your thoughts.
